Shannon C. Griffin is a film editor currently based in Los Angeles, California. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Shannon moved to the US at just 3 months old. She then lived in places such as Connecticut, Tianjin, Shanghai, then Hawaii before graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in New York with a liberal arts degree.

Shannon’s editing career spans narrative films, commercials, and music videos. She edited the LENOVO JONAS BROTHERS’ VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE PERFORMANCE, which received a 2021 Bronze Clio Music Award and a 2021 Silver Kinsale Shark Award. Her music videos have been included in Pitchfork’s Top 20 Music Videos of 2019 (Doja Cat’s ‘TIA TAMERA’), nominated for two awards at the 2020 MTV VMAs (Best Rock Video and Best Music Video from Home for Blink-182’s ‘HAPPY DAYS’), and nominated for two 2020 CMT Awards (Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘HOMECOMING QUEEN?’). Shannon edited the feature film THE INVISIBLE GIRL, directed by Jaclyn Bethany, which was an official selection at Nòt Film Festival 2023. She was also selected as one of five editors for the 2024 Film Independent Project Involve program. More recently, Shannon edited the short film A FAMILY GUIDE TO HUNTING, starring Margaret Cho and Kahyun Kim, which will premiere at Tribeca Festival in June 2024.

When Shannon isn't editing, she spends her free time studying French and Thai, the latter being her parents' native language.
